Benchmark #1. Automotive Decklid Inner Panel

The focus of this benchmark will be the accurate prediction of springback in stretch-forming processes. IGES files for the surface geometry and documents specifying the processing conditions will be provided. Strain and springback measurements at predefined locations will be provided at the conference using an aluminum and a bake-hardenable steel alloy. This benchmark is provided by GM Metal Fabricating Division in Pontiac, Michigan, Troy Design and Manufacturing, and US Steel Corporation in Troy, Michigan.
